About The Role

The Business Analyst is responsible for the development, collation and analysis of data and performance reporting across the organisation. To ensure that all data is correct & accurate and to play a key role in encouraging and supporting teams in the use of data to drive forward service improvements across the organisation.

Your key accountabilities will be:

  • Develop and maintain processes for gathering, validating and analysing performance information relating to corporate plans/strategies, key policies and standards, service effectiveness and service risk
  • Identify performance monitoring gaps, clarifying the implications of gaps, and make recommendations as to how the gaps should be addressed
  • Collect, validate and analyse a wide range of quantitative and qualitative data from both internal and external sources to support the planning and performance of work priorities throughout the organisation.
  • Review workflow and procedures in departments, ensuring these are kept up to date and tested.
  • Carry out data checks to ensure all information stored in IT systems is stored correctly, up to date, relevant and accurate.
  • Monitor data integrity issues and liaise with departments to address any problems
  • Responsible for carrying out routine GDPR related tasks, such as maintaining the Subject Access Request and Data Breach registers.

About you

You will be:

  • Experienced in data / information analysis
  • Experienced in writing reports for wide range of audiences, with the ability to communicate and present complex data to allow informed decisions to be made. 
  • Have strong accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in data validation and analysis
  • Have the ability to build links with other departments to understand performance needs
  • Understand GDPR regulations that relate to Subject Access Requests
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel
  • Have the ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, while achieving set deadlines
