We’re seeking an experienced Data Protection professional to join our fast-paced, highly ambitious organisation as our Data Protection Manager. This is a key role within our Governance function, tasked with taking ownership managing for and providing sound advice and guidance to the business on all aspects of our compliance with relevant Data Protection legislation.
Working closely with colleagues across our organisation, you’ll proactively encourage a culture of data protection and embed the continuous improvement of effective Information Governance compliance systems. You will drive the implementation of essential elements of Data Protection legislation including the principles of handling, storage and processing of personal data; as well as the co-ordination and investigation of Subject Access Requests. You will also have responsibility for the line-management and development of our Compliance and Information Governance Officer.
Our ideal candidate? We’re seeking a professional, positive and hands-on individual who possesses a Law degree, or equivalent level qualification, relevant to Information Governance and Data Protection. This should be supported by a proven track record of working as a Data Protection Officer, Manager or Lead and a good knowledge of the relevant legislation and of the practical steps required to ensure compliance. Importantly you will also demonstrate the ability to lead and develop a small team.
