Job Description

Our client, based in Birmingham, is currently recruiting for a ICT Service Desk Analyst on a permanent basis. Our client is proud to be brave and innovators, who work not in isolation but in partnership with others to help the people of Birmingham to thrive.

 

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The annual salary is £24,300 - £26,300 negotiable based on experience for this position.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Service Desk environment.

 

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Install, configure and maintain business critical hardware and software including servers, end user devices and telephony
  • Provide 1st and 2nd support, administration and housekeeping tasks for the Office 365 services; including, but not limited to Exchange, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Forms and cloud service delivery
  • Deliver technical projects, implementations, improvements to the ICT environment and maintain technical documentation, self-help and fixes through the Helpdesk Desk Platform
  • Monitor and control data back-ups and perform restores of data when required ensuring successful backups have completed. Reporting any issues that can’t be resolved to the ICT service delivery manager
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the IT Asset registers to ensure integrity and license compliance for ICT Hardware and Software
  • Oversee the management of ICT consumables and procure as and when necessary
  • Monitor Service desk platform performance to ensure we are meeting agreed SLA’s and proactively engage with the ICT team for updates on tickets reaching SLA thresholds
  • Assist the ICT Service Delivery Manager in the development of 365 services and identifying areas where policies, security and services can be improved or require change

 

Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a service desk environment
  • Experience and skills with the following technologies:
    • Azure
    • O365
    • VMware
    • Citrix
    • Microsoft Technologies

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
