BI Analyst


Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Fixed term contract - 9-12 months maternity cover

£35,000 - £37,000 depending on skills and knowledge


Leeds Federated is a housing association with around 4,300 properties across Leeds, Wakefield and North Yorkshire. Our mission is to enable the maximum number of people to access and live sustainably in good value, affordable housing.


This is an exciting opportunity for a BI Analyst to join our team on a temporary basis for 9-12 months. The main purpose of this role is to analyse data from systems and databases, apply business sense and excellent communication to present findings to the business to support and challenge business processes.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Data extraction and analysis - Extracting data from multiple sources, sifting and analysing from multiple angles and communicating important information and insights
  • Assisting in writing and producing management information reports to support information transparency and performance management
  • Liaising with users to develop new reports / reporting systems
  • Developing and maintaining skills to execute data queries and build reports from various sources
  • Providing a responsive and timely service to users
  • Assisting with running analysis and reports to support data maintenance, cleansing and accuracy
  • Developing and maintaining PowerBI dashboards for the organisation


Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have PowerBI / SQL experience
  • Be a strong communication who is able to liaise effectively at all levels
  • Be a strong listener who can gather requirements and assess customer needs
  • Have knowledge of providing end use support and training
  • Have a flexible and innovative approach
