About the Role

We’re currently looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Platform team.

As a team, we’re responsible for designing, building and operating the services we consume in AWS, along with the software we use like Kubernetes, Docker and MS SQL to name a few.

You will be collaborating with developers and platform engineers, contributing to architecture and continuously optimising infrastructure to remove bottlenecks and improve automation.

About Your Experience

To succeed in the role of Platform Cloud Engineer you will have experience demonstrating as many of the below criteria as possible:

Essential

• The expertise to engineer, develop, and troubleshoot production-grade systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS), select the appropriate tools to tackle business problems at the right scale
• Experience with working with cloud-native applications, container orchestration platforms such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), AWS Fargate, Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR)
• Experience collaborating with developers and platform engineers, contributing to architecture and continuously optimising infrastructure to remove bottlenecks and improve automation.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of cloud-related technologies, and can articulate best practice approaches and practices
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills and curiosity
• Experience with 3rd line incident management

Desirable

• Knowledge of kubernetes (k8s) components, including but not limited to kube-api, kubectl, ingress, services, deployments, RBAC
• An understanding of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform
• AWS certification preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
