Job Description

Key relationships

Reports to the Head of Governance and Assurance and will work closely with all CHP teams.

Accountabilities

  • To support the Data Protection Officer with the coordination of the response to Subject Access Requests and any Data Breach investigations and ensure we have appropriate agreements in place with other organisations such as Data Sharing Agreements. Your line manager is the Head of Governance and Assurance/ Company Secretary.
  • To also support the Governance & Assurance team on any tasks when and if required.
  • Assist the Data Protection Officer with Subject Access Request requests and Data Breach/Data Protection administration.
  • Assist the Data Protection Officer with the co-ordination and record keeping of Data Sharing Agreements with third parties, Data Privacy Impact Assessment and the updating of the Privacy Notice as required.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer with the organising and management of the GDPR/Data Protection Project Group.
  • To assist the Data Protection Officer with the updating of the GDPR/Data Protection training module.
  • To assist the Data Protection Officer with providing guidance to employees in following the suite of Data Protection Policies and procedures.
  • To assist the Data Protection Officer in responding to internal audit enquires.
  • Support the Head of Governance and Assurance and the Governance and Assurance team with any tasks if and when required.

Qualifications

  • Evidence of attainment of good literacy and numeracy, e.g., through GCSEs or equivalent or equivalent demonstrable prior learning.

Experience, knowledge, and skills

  • Evidence of competence in administrative processes/procedures.
  • Good track record in maintaining data/record systems and developing knowledge of further applications.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of using MS office including Word and Excel.
  • Confident organiser.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work pro-actively as part of a team to achieve objectives and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
  • Flexible and creative approach.

Desirable

Qualifications

  • Appropriate business qualification or equivalent demonstrable prior learning.

Experience, knowledge, and skills

  • Understanding of the areas for which the role is responsible, in particular, in relation to the regulatory environment set by the Regulator of Social Housing and the legal requirements associated with being a Community & Benefit Society.
  • Experience in managing / co-ordinating activities.
  • Experience of Data Protection related tasks.

  • The salary for this post will be £24,205 Per Annum
  • 25 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holidays and 3 extra days between Christmas and New Year.
