We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Energy Manager to join our Sustainability team on a permanent basis. 

This is an new exciting role within the team where you will oversee the design, management and maintenance of Platform’s energy assets including communal heating, solar PV, solar thermal, heat pumps and electric vehicle charge points. 

This is a varied role where you will utilise your technical knowledge of energy assets to develop strategies and processes that support a growing portfolio of Platform’s energy assets. You will also be pivotal in developing and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as colleagues across the group as well as external suppliers and partners. 

Some things we need from you 

  • Substantial experience of managing energy assets and ensuring high standards of operational and financial performance 

  • Be customer focused with excellent communication skills 

  • Have experience of creating and maintaining good working relationships 

  • Have experience of managing external contractors and ensuring performance delivery.  

  • Evidence of having delivered effectively in a results/service driven environment  

  • Proven experience of balancing a heavy workload, prioritising as necessary  

  • Excellent technical knowledge of energy related assets, including communal heating, solar photovoltaic, heat pumps, electric vehicle charge points  

  • Excellent knowledge of sustainable buildings and renewable technologies  

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety & building regulations.  

  • Competent IT skills – use MS office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Teams.  

While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations to undertake inspections on occasion. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park and Central Park, Worcester.
