Job Description

Would you like to become a specialist in Housing IT? 

We have an opening for an entry level member of our team to assist in the delivery of the support services we provide to various housing organisations. 

The role is all about the specialist systems used in the housing sector - please note it is not about general IT or infrastructure.

This is a great opportunity to work with established experts in the field and learn new skills from them. You’ll be working with a very friendly and supportive team, where your effort will be valued and your work-life balance respected.

Key to this role is an aptitude and willingness to learn about how housing organisations function and in particular their use of technology.  

Prior experience of the housing sector and/or IT support is not essential, though would be an advantage.

Job Description

Salary from £30,000 + statutory pension and uncapped sales commission.

Home-based with three days per week attendance at our clients’ London offices and other reasonable locations.

Work related travel expenses for office based work covered within the M25

Working time based on 35 hours per week, flexible where appropriate.

Flexible holiday - minimum of 30 days plus public holidays.

Laptop, mobile phone or mobile phone line rental contribution provided.

Potential share option after one year.

About the Job

Reports to:

Line Management Duties:

None

  • Carry out day to day support and administration tasks for our Business Applications Management Service

    • Log and triage new support requests escalating within the team as appropriate

    • Ensure support requests are dealt with in agreed timeframes

    • Coordinate support activity with software suppliers

  • Provide on-premises support for our London customers, typically three days per week

  • Liaise with end users to help them get the most from their IT systems  

  • Design and deliver training

  • Work with the team to further develop and deliver new products and services

  • Support sales and marketing activities in a variety of ways including: 

    • Attendance at conferences, networking and other promotional events

    • Appropriate use of social media

  • Complete reasonable administrative tasks to support the day to day running of the business

  • Other reasonable duties commensurate with the role.

Continuing Professional Development

As a part of the role, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects involving implementation of and improvement to line of business applications. You’ll work with our team to develop your skills and learn more about the applications in use across the housing sector such as Housing Management Systems, CRM, Finance and Asset Management.

There is an expectation that all team members will complete CPD and training activities related to the role to ensure they are able to provide up to date, accurate advice. Reasonable time will be allowed for this and funding for role specific training and development may be available.
