The role offers 27 days holiday (rising with extended service) and flexible working with access to a Pension Scheme.

This position is to support a team of Accountants within a Service Charge finance team. The role will predominantly be assisting with month-end and year-end accounts and ensuring the rent and service charge, setting processes complies with any legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • To further ensure the annual process relating to each Group member is completed in accordance with the tenancy/lease agreements and Rent Policy

You will have previous experience working in a finance team and have a general understanding of financial controls, policies and procedures. It is desirable that you have previous experience working within a housing association environment (ideally within Rents and Service Charge) but this is by no means essential. You will have good interpersonal skills so you can effectively communicate with and provide professional support and assistance to all team members. You will have experience working with computerised accounting systems and have excellent spreadsheet skills, especially within Excel. Knowledge and a good awareness of analytical and reporting tools are essential.
