Lead Data Engineer
Salary: Up to £60,596 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Home based (with infrequent travel to Midlands offices)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 Hours per week

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering and Performance Reporting team on a permanent basis.
The Data Engineering team are responsible for ensuring privacy and maintenance of data across cloud and on-premise data stores in line with organisational policy and regulatory guidelines. They also own the management and monitoring of data stores and data pipelines to ensure that data loads and streams perform as expected.
As the Lead Data Engineer, you will be required to lead and support a team of four Senior Data Engineers and be responsible for the design and implementation of numerous complex data flows to connect operational systems data to RDBMS repositories for analytics and business intelligence (BI).
This is an exciting time to join the team as we consolidate and transition from our legacy systems towards a more agile way of working. There will also be opportunities to support ongoing projects, you will also have a pivotal role in supporting the data migration as we move toward a more modern way of working via Azure.

While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park and Central Park, Worcester. Please note that the team currently meet in the office once every other month and any required travel will be reimbursed in line with the current inland revenue mileage rates.
