Job Description

Propeller Powered Ltd are seeking a Manchester based experienced Full Stack software developer to join a team of developers.

We are a SAAS provider with a market-leading integrated Web and Mobile App based Field Management and Compliance solution used by facility maintenance contractors and housing associations.

The successful candidate would be joining Propeller at an exciting time in the product development as we look to continue embracing new technologies with the AWS ecosystem.

Duties and responsibilities:

·       Developing, maintaining, and supporting the Propeller web application and web services.

·       Tracking work tasks/sprints using Asana.

·       Supporting junior developers.

·       Testing software & mobile applications.

·       Assisting with onboarding new clients.

·       Analysing and resolving technical and application problems.

·       Contributing to the refinement of organisational processes & procedures.

Key technical skills and attributes:

·       5+ years C# with ASP.NET in Visual Studio.

·       HTML, CSS, Ajax, Javascript, jQuery, React.

·       Excellent knowledge of SQL Server/authoring fast SQL queries/sprocs.

·       Experience using GIT version control (or similar).

·       Understanding of SOLID principles.

·       Experience of API Development.

Candidates should have:

·       Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

·       Experience of managing other developers and outsourcing development.

·       Awareness of secure software development and web standards.

·       Understanding of GDPR and the security and integrity of customers’ data.

·       Proactive approach to problem management.

·       Willingness to research and learn new skills and technologies.

·       Ability to work well in a team.

·       A ‘can-do’ attitude.

Candidates who have specialisms/experience in any of the below will be given extra consideration:

·       AWS architecture, EC2, RDS, S3, Dynamo DB, Lambda functions

·       Security – experience developing systems which conform to security guidelines (OWASP, Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001)

·       SQL Server Database Administration – optimising performance, disaster recovery etc.
