We have an exciting new opportunity to join our busy Technology Services team! We provide support to our colleagues with their use of technology at NCHA, we support the applications used to deliver services and we implement and maintain the systems that comprise the IT infrastructure. A key part of the service is to support our colleagues from across the business, with their projects to implement and change the technology they need to drive the business forwards.

 

About the role

Our Service Desk is the first line of support providing telephone, email and in person support to colleagues across the organisation in their use of NCHA Technology.

A key part of the service is to support our colleagues from across the business with their projects to implement and change the technology they need to drive the business forwards. As a Service Desk Analyst, you would provide:

  • First and second line support for colleagues on core software applications, hardware, network infrastructure and the VoIP system in accordance with Technology Services support policy; escalating to third line support when necessary.  
  • Assist with maintaining installed application software; creating and maintaining documentation for software, hardware and system setup information.
  • Use call logging software for faults and requests; assisting and resolving minor and ad hoc recovery requests.
  • Maintain system users; adding and amending users on NCHA IT systems and the VoIP system.
  • Answer and resolve support queries from colleagues directly or via phone or email; recording and passing on more complex queries to the appropriate person.

Working a 35 hour week covering the hours of 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Some working from home may be possible but it is necessary for us to provide an onsite service for appointments.

 

About you

  • You will be enthusiastic, have a can do” attitude with the ability to motivate others.
  • Have good technology skills and knowledge.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others and to be open, friendly, and flexible.
  • Confidence to work under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • A good understanding of PC hardware, Microsoft Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
  • Previous experience of working in an customer focused environment and working to targets
  • A valid UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
