Job Description

With training in FLS technology, including flagship products FLS VISITOUR and FLS MOBILE, the Solutions Consultant role responsibilities include:

  • Once experienced:
    •  For smaller projects, the Solutions Consultant will often lead from start to finish.
    •  In others, they will be paired with the Principle Solutions Consultant or Solutions Director.
  • Liaise with clients to analyse business processes, clarify requirements and determine the scope of required solution.
  • Analyse data to identify problem areas and propose system configuration or process changes to overcome them.
  • Present overall solution designs and workshops to a technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver all consultancy work in a timely manner, to scope and within budget, while keeping internal and external parties updated with progress.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations with your business knowledge, skills and professionalism.
  • Provide support and technical guidance during the pre-sales phases that could include:
    •  Collaboration in customer-facing meetings, delivering demonstrations, etc.
    • Conducting benchmark and 'What-If' scenario testing with customer data.
    • Deploy and manage system trials for potential clients.

This role is home working and therefore your location is flexible provided you have good travel connections. FLS has office hubs near Reading and Warrington and there is a high degree of interaction with colleagues with meet up sessions/workshops. Product training will be provided in the UK and Germany.

EXPERIENCE, EXPERTISE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

  • Proven business analysis and software implementation skills with minimum 4 years' experience, ideally to include field service management or scheduling/dispatch/mobile related solutions, working for either a vendor or a field service organisation
  • Strong problem-solving ability, analytical skills and effective time management are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to articulate concisely with enthusiasm and clarity
  • Quickly establishes credibility, trust and rapport with customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Takes personal responsibility, with a flexible 'can do, will do, whatever it takes' attitude
  • Degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in IT, a mathematical or science subject
  • Hold a full valid driving licence and passport
  • Must be an existing resident in the UK with full 'Right to work'

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Competent with SQL and relational databases
  • Good understanding of Web Services
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to read VBA beneficial but not essential
