Job Description

Midland Heart is seeking a Software Engineer to ensure that our organisation has the software solutions required to achieve our ambitious corporate goals. This is a challenging end-to-end role; designing, developing, delivering, supporting and maintaining Midland Heart’s web and mobile software solutions across an organisation which embraces new, more efficient ways of working with IT.

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with colleagues across Midland Heart to define requirements, update on progress and deliver pragmatic solutions that meet the business’s needs.
  • Contributing to the definition and implementation of development and quality standards, ensuring all work is delivered in accordance with those standards.
  • Ensuring the use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools.
  • Providing support and technical guidance to other colleagues.

Our ideal candidate will have Degree in computer science or related discipline, formal training in the software development lifecycle, as well as relevant training and/or qualifications in web and mobile development, C#, HTML5, XML, CSS. These qualifications will be complemented by excellent problem solving skills, a passion for delivering an excellent service to our stakeholders and an ability to use judgement to ensure business outcomes are achieved effectively and efficiently.
