We are currently recruiting for a Litter Picker. The Litter Picker role is part of our Communities and Estate Team and carries out litter picking, needle removal and any other duties as required on our estates throughout the County Borough. You will work within the Company’s Equality & Diversity Policy and Health and Safety Policy ensuring that these are complied with throughout all activities within the scope of this role. You will also ensure the highest standards of customer care in all aspects of the service provided and that all activities of the organisation are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in accordance with the requirements of the Valleys to Coast and other relevant legislation.
As part of the role you will be required to clean and tidy e.g. sweeping in garage compounds; litter picking; needle stick removal; removal of fly tipping; filling grit bins and the emptying of bins and removal of rubbish and will work to keep our estates tidy at all times.
We are looking for someone who has a sound knowledge of the Bridgend County Borough area and knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations in relation to the role. You should have previous experience within a cleaning or caretaking role and experience of working within a team and lone working.
