Job Description

Aareon is a leading supplier of ERP systems to the housing industry throughout Europe. Thousands of customers use Aareon’s software to manage over 10 million residential units. We are part of a major European bank who are a leading international property specialist with assets of €42 billion. At Aareon UK we are currently undertaking a project to build the next generation of our ERP system - a modern web application written in .Net Core, with a RESTful API connecting to a modern UX built with HTML5, CSS3, Angular and Typescript.

An experienced Full Stack .Net Developer (C#) is required to work on this project, with responsibilities for building the server side of the web application. You will work alongside front end developers, test analysts and managers to develop a new application which aims to deliver the best UX to our customers.

We are looking for talented developers with great experience of using .Net (including Core) in C#, with ASP.Net and Web API for building RESTful web services. You should have experience of building cloud-based services implemented on Azure. Any front end web development experience would be an advantage including HTML5, CSS3 and client side scripting with JavaScript frameworks. You should be used to working as part of an Agile Team and be familiar with Microsoft TFS or VSTS for sprint management and source control.

Key Responsibilities to Include:

  • Experience with Visual Studio and building ASP.Net applications in C# is essential, with .Net core experience preferred.
  • Excellent experience of building RESTful web services using C# ASP.Net Web API.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server and Entity Framework.
  • Familiar with Domain Driven Design and building multi-layered applications.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (including SASS) and building responsive web sites.
  • An understanding of JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as jQuery, Typescript and Angular.
  • Experience of package management tools and task runners including NUGET, NPM, Grunt or Gulp.
  • Familiar with Microsoft TFS or VSTS for task management and version control.
  • Used to working as part of an Agile Team and delivering work in sprints.
  • Experience of writing unit tests.
  • Experience of developing cloud solutions, particularly Azure.

Key Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in C# ASP.Net application development.
  • Good technical web development experience using the languages and frameworks specified.
  • Language Knowledge – C#, ASP.Net, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
  • Experience of building RESTful web services using ASP.Net Web API.
  • A fast learner, an excellent team player, able to adhere to company development standards and able to use your experience to contribute to the project.
