We’re seeking an IT Security Manager to take ownership of our sector-leading organisation’s information/cyber security framework and strategy - keeping us ahead of the ever changing cyber threats that modern organisations face on a daily basis. You’ll join us as a key technical and subject matter expert, with responsibility for establishing and maintaining appropriate cyber/information security standards, policies and controls aligned to the ISO27001.
Always keeping abreast of current and emerging risks, you’ll conduct regular reviews and manage penetration tests to challenge our systems, identify vulnerabilities and perform remedial actions to mitigate identified risks. Importantly, you’ll work with colleagues within our Technology & Transformation department and across the organisation to implement and improve procedures and processes, awareness and training plans to promote operational excellence and security effectiveness.
Our ideal candidate? You’ll hold a relevant Information Security qualification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or MSc Information Security alongside significant knowledge and experience of IT security systems across multiple technical platforms. You’ll demonstrate a strong working knowledge of security standards and methodologies such as ISO27001, COBIT, and ITIL and an understanding of relevant data protection legislation. We’re also seeking an in-depth knowledge of IT security products, systems and applying security best practice. Importantly, you’ll have excellent planning and problem solving skills, be passionate about delivering an excellent service to our stakeholders and will be able to use judgement to ensure business outcomes are achieved effectively and efficiently.
