We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior / Lead BI Developer, to provide technical leadership and guidance on the development of BI solutions and systems.
The role and the team
This is a new role within the ICT / Data team and key to helping Yorkshire Housing drive forward the technical elements of its ambitious Data Strategy. You will have knowledge and experience of developing complex BI solutions, data warehousing techniques, using SQL / SSIS to handle large data sets and familiar with technologies such Microsoft Azure SQL, ADF, Data Export Services as well as data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
Leading a team of developers, you will be part of a passionate & growing, Data team which is shaping the way the organisation works. You will work collaboratively with the Data and Performance Manager, Data Architect and a team of Analysts to drive forward the right technical / BI solutions for Yorkshire Housing. You will be working with Senior ICT professionals on the technical design, development and implementation of the data and analysis landscape at Yorkshire Housing.
What will I be doing?
As a Senior BI Developer at Yorkshire Housing in ICT, you will be responsible for:
Leading the development, build and ongoing maintenance of a data warehouse
Designing, developing & then implementing BI dashboards via Power BI
Supporting the organisation on its move towards a cloud based system using technologies such as Microsoft Azure SQL, ADF, Dynamics, Data Export Services, Power BI
Developing and maintaining BI applications which deliver a single and trusted source for data and reporting to the business
Ensuring data quality issues are addressed at source and working with relevant owners and the Data Steward to drive through necessary action
Leading on data migration activities e.g. implementation of new systems such as Dynamics
Providing technical support / troubleshooting on database storage and maintenance
Leading a team of developers

This is a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) role. In line with our Hub, Home and Roam model, this role will be mainly home-based but need the ability to commute to Yorkshire. Although this will vary, to give an indication post Covid we anticipate that the average frequency will be around once a month, throughout the year.
