These are exciting times at JRF/JRHT. We have a new Group CEO, and are developing our new strategic plan. A key aspect of this will be to ensure we have the right technologies in place to achieve our mission to solve poverty in the UK and to build and develop strong empowered communities.
The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting us to understand what the organisation needs from new technologies we are likely to procure and implement over the next 2-3 years. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Technology and Change and the project sponsors, the postholder will undertake the work in either the Finance or Housing service area.
Adopting a service- and user-led design approach, the Business Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders, including senior managers, operational teams, residents and partners to understand their current and future requirements, and identify the technology solutions and process changes that could enable these to be met. The work will initially be at a broad level to inform a Blueprint/High Level Design but will progressively become more detailed to enable the production of a full business case and tender documentation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to build on their existing expertise in this area, and make a positive impact for staff and residents. In return we can offer a fantastic benefits package, working in a truly values-driven, financially stable organisation.
You will have demonstrable experience of working as a business/systems analyst – ideally within either a Housing or Finance setting. Knowledge of Agile, user-led methods would be a distinct advantage. Experience of leading requirements workshops is essential as is the ability to elicit, elaborate and model business, system and data requirements.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders, often having to convey complex ideas in simple, easily understood terms.
This role is fixed term until 31 December 2021.
