Job Description

This Lancashire-based Housing Association is looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to support the Senior Management Team with the production of financial information whilst leading an experienced and willing finance team. Paying £45-50K with an excellent pension, flexible working, and a range of other benefits.

THE JOB

You will be responsible for the provision of a full range of financial information including preparation of the annual budget, monthly management accounts, and the annual report and financial statements for the group.

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and business planning process
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including forecast financial position v performance
  • Financial reporting for various teams, including the Repairs, Maintenance & Development Programmes and any subsidiary companies
  • Support other non-finance stakeholders across the organisation with the production of reports and advice on financial matters
  • Manage the year-end process
  • Prepare financial appraisals for new development schemes and for existing stock and be responsible for the Fixed asset register
  • Assist in the production Business Plan, corporate strategy, and objectives
  • Annual Rent Setting process, VfM, and Procurement
  • Proactively participate in the review of the finance and key systems and processes to enhance efficiency

THE PERSON

You will be a fully qualified (CCAB) accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience operating at a senior/management level. You will have excellent communication skills and be a strong people manager.

You will ideally have significant experience within the Housing sector, or other similar Not For Profit /Education /Regulated sectors are equally of interest. Solid experience in budgeting & forecasting, monthly management accounts, year-end, and ideally have been involved with IT/ process improvement projects and financial appraisals.
