They’re looking for somebody with a proven track record in Power BI development to join their busy Business Intelligence team at a very exciting time of progression for their data services. This role requires someone who can work at the client’s head office based in Hampshire with some irregular travel to smaller satellite offices within the local area.

 

Your main responsibilities as Power BI Developer will be to carry out a full-scale review of IT to create a technical specification and roadmap for data services. You will be required to build a data warehouse from scratch which will allow for future scalability and connection to core systems, provide ongoing support for this data warehouse, create Power BI dashboards from inception to execution, alongside ongoing support and maintenance of the Power BI platform. This role also requires someone who will champion the use of Power BI throughout the business and keep well informed about technological developments within this area to act as in-house expert.

 

Essential experience:

  • Commercial experience working as a Power BI Developer.
  • Experience of designing, implementing and optimising ETL processes including data warehouse design and build.
  • Solid understanding of the infrastructure architecture behind the platform.
  • Experience of integration of Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics (SaaS, API automation etc)
  • SSRS, SSIS, DAX, SQL Server, T-SQL.
  • Implementation of low-level data security.
  • Advanced level data set calculation experience for delivering visuals and reports.
  • Experience of manipulating and optimising disparate, large data sets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to present both written and orally to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of MS Visual Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps or SSAS would be highly advantageous for this role.
