Lead Innovator (Systems Architect) Technology is a cornerstone for Yorkshire Housing’s ambitions to become the most innovative housing organisation in the country. The Lead Innovator is a new role which will help to shape the future technology direction by determining the solutions we need to achieve our long term aims. Working closely with colleagues from the ICT team and across the business, the Lead Innovator will seek out and introduce a wide range of technologies that improve our customer experience and improve our business processes. An appetite for risk and an understanding that failure is a part of innovation is essential, as is a good understanding of IT infrastructure, systems/applications and services. Our Lead Innovator will assemble and lead a small team which will inspire and support the business in creating and maintaining a culture of innovation, and provide technical expertise to help develop our services, improve our performance and achieve our ambitious targets. What the role involves: As the Lead Innovator, you will lead creative and strategic thinking on technology in Yorkshire Housing through proactive engagement with key stakeholders in the business, across the housing sector and beyond. Key responsibilities include: producing and owning the technology roadmap and introducing innovative, integrated technology solutions • providing an internal consultancy service, bringing technical expertise and identifying opportunities to improve services and processes leading, managing, developing and coaching your team to ensure that skills, expertise and resource are available to provide an excellent service To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate a passion for technology and innovation, and have a good understanding of a wide range of business technologies, particularly within the Microsoft stack. This might mean you have a background in IT support, implementation or management.
